Project Senior CARE is a youth-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. We aim to Connect with, Assist, Reassure, & Educate senior citizens on how to protect themselves in the constantly changing financial world. Our approach is dynamic and engaging: we play informative games, conduct interactive lessons, perform mini skits, and more, focusing on topics such as Online Saving, Scam Prevention, and Online Banking.

With the ever-changing online financial world, financial literacy is becoming increasingly crucial. While the online financial world is constantly evolving, elderly individuals are not being exposed to online saving tactics, online banking, and the risk of online scams.
According to the FBI Internet Crime Complaint Center, Americans over the age of 60 reported approximately $3.4 billion in total fraud losses in 2023. Seniors are frequent targets of online scams and suffer severe consequences when victimized. Furthermore, 83% of older adults express a desire to learn more about protecting themselves from scams. However, they often lack the right resources and correct information about these risks.

We come to assisted living centers and senior homes to present about Online Scam Prevention, Online Saving, and Online Banking. We create simulations for senior citizens to use to practice identifying scams, conduct interactive lessons, perform mini skits, and at the end of our sessions we reinforce what we taught through games such as Scammer Bingo!
